About Me
My interest in prevention and natural health started when I was a young woman. After graduating from McArthur High School in Hollywood, Florida, I choose to study dental hygiene because of the curriculum's focus on public health and early intervention of dental and periodontal disease (the most common disease known to mankind).
Then as a young expectant mother, I wanted to have my children and myself not exposed to synthetic or heavy sedation and medications so I choose to have natural childbirth and breastfeed both my children so as to avoid synthetic formulas and preservatives.
After thirty years of professionally concentrating on just the mouth, my interests widened to a broader whole body view and I took studied esthetics, nail technology becoming a certified FS (Full Specialist), and did advanced work in reflexology and healing touch. In 2000, I partnered with my massage therapist sister, Lynn Brown, BA, LMT, and opened a wellness spa in Wilton Manors, Florida - Point Pleasant Wellness. As we served our community, we were introduced to the CPTG (certified pure tested grade) quality essential oils from doTERRA. At our first sniff of their lavender, we knew they were different. We came to understand the difference was because of the high quality involved in their production. Our noses knew, and the numerous documentations we read convinced our heads and most importantly, the more we used them on ourselves and our clients, our hearts were convinced.
Now, ten years after closing our spa, I still use these everyday on myself or within my surroundings to support all of my body's operational systems. My focus on natural health is still the same and using these quality oils helped me navigate some very difficult resent events in my life.
I have now partnered with my colleague Jeanet Gallarday at her facility, Foot, Skin, and Body Wellness in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, specializing in medical pedicures. We met fifteen years ago when we both studied and earned our CMP (Certified Master Pedicurist) from NASP (North American School of Pedology). Jeanet continued her education and is also a Certified Podologist (C Pod).
I am again seeing clients for services, sharing my knowledge of essential oils, providing treatments and demonstrations using doTERRA's oils, and doing small group presentations.
